Sketchy - The Return
Well, the deals have been done (and by deals, I mean that Kyle and I shook hands), and Sketchy (A Sketch Show) is due to go into production this summer (assuming there are no major problems that occur between then and now).
So, what does this mean? It means that Kyle and I shall be writing a lot more sketches over the next few months, but this means nothing without support from others. So we shall be looking for performers, possibly writers, CG-artists, and anyone who wishes to be involved, as we approach our shooting period.
Interested? Comment here, or e-mail me, or Kyle, or both of us!

A Crazy Idea...
I'm coming back to Poole today, with a bog standard camcorder to lend to Maverick for Peter Pan next week. But I just had an idea (which might be crazy.. feel free to shoot me down)
Anyone fancy filming some comedy sketches next week? ;) During daytimes? (And yes, this question is mostly aimed at those people who are unemployed bums or have nothing to do :P)

I know this is late, but what the hell....
*Sings* Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na- DOPE MILKMAN!!
Picture the scene, the Milkman walks up the driveway of a normal looking house, casually checking left and right, ensuring that he is not being watched, as he reaches the door. He picks up the note from an empty milk bottle and reads it. Suddenly looking shifty he takes the empty bottle back to the milkfloat and swaps it for two pints of full-fat and a small clear bag. He takes them up and places them by the door and moves on, leaving the milk and an eighth of dope on the doorstep of a old person, to help them with their aches and pains.
But it's OK because he would never sell drugs to children.
For some reason this story just made me laugh.

Wierdos Walking Around my flat...
I had to show strange people around my flat today cos my landlord is selling it. Twas a very strange experience, meeting lots of people who may become my landlord. Luckily, none of them seemed to want to throw me out and live here themselves, so thats a good thing :-)
Other Brawny-shaped news? Not a lot. Am back in Poole tomorrow night for nine wonderful days, so anyone who wants to do anything, give me a text or call :)
Not much else going on.. the gap where my appendix was is still sore... but I'm ok. :D

The Bloody Credit Crunch
OK, I thought I'd leap on the bandwagon since in the last couple of weeks Fox wrote a blog with a positive spin on it, and now Teenie has writ a blog telling us how to save money in this time of crisis. So here is my opinion on the Credit Crunch.
It's all rubbish.
Seriously.
OK, so it's not ALL rubbish. Economically speaking we are in a downturn (which is now officially a recession) and that is a bad thing. But for most of us, it just means business as normal.
The biggest risk to peoples livelihoods are people who work in what I like to term "fringe" jobs - jobs which do not directly contribute to making money/jobs in business that don't make money.
And yes, my career is one of those. Theatre, like many things, is viciously financially dependant, and in this time of recession there are less jobs around for all of us, techies, actors, producers, whoever.
Am I worried? No.
Partly because I am working in a school, and as annoying as the education system can be, they don't tend to lay people off often, and partly because if they do, I will go with the flow and do something else.
What I am fed up with is people blaming everything on the Credit Crunch, as if someone is personally sneaking into their house and stealing their money. It doesn't have much day-to-day impact on most of us unless you are buying/selling a house (or car), or unless you lose your job. Then obviously it has a huge amount of effect.

Ow. Appendectomy's hurt!
Hey everyone
My blogging may well be erratic (like it hasn't been before!) since I have just spent 4 days in hospital after having an emergency appendectomy on Thursday. So I might be in the mood for blogging a lot since I have two weeks signed off work.
Or I might not be, since I am feeling rather ill, not surprisingly, being as a large chunk of me has been removed.
But such is life.
